Canada Event Centre is GTA East’s newest premier event centre. It has the flexibility to host all types of events, including: corporate, conference, product unveiling, presentations, banquets, live recordings and live streams, concerts, dance and theatre, weddings and special events, and more!
CEC is located directly off of Ontario Highway 401, which is ideal for those traveling from downtown. For those who prefer to travel via the GO Train, the event centre is a 4-kilometer drive from the Whitby GO Station and is just a 40-minute ride from downtown Toronto. As an added benefit for those travelling via GO Train, CEC offers a shuttle service that will usher guests from the GO Stations to our event centre. As the GTA expands (particularly GTA East), it is our goal to make travel as convenient and accommodating as possible. Canada Event Centre is also located directly next to several hotels that can accommodate any of your guests travelling from out of town. Hotels such as Holiday Inn Express, Residence Inn, Quality Suites, Motel 6, and more are all located 1 - 3 km away!
The Space
What makes Canada Event Centre so unique is its flexibility. The main event space is incredibly versatile due to its ability to accommodate events of any size. On the left and right side of the space, there are retractable partition walls which are able to make the space larger or smaller according to your preference. The auditorium can seat up to 3,000+ guests with a theatre style seating layout. This space is able to accommodate 1,200+ for a Banquet/Gala style event.
The auditorium itself boasts one of Canada’s largest installed LED screens at 30 ft x 16ft, 2 LED screens at 11ft x 6.5ft, and ground LED panels located on stage left and right which provide visibility from every seat in the house. These screens work together to create one of the greatest production experiences in Canada. The event space includes high quality audio and lighting with the ability to produce a show or event like none other.
The bright and versatile lobby space is perfect for hosting special events, and it also acts as a warm and welcoming entry space for your guests! It is also fully equipped with a full-service bar and modern LED light strips along the wall and overhead the outside entrance. This high-end architectural lighting is fully customizable to match your event or company colors. The lobby also includes a 12 ft. by 7 ft. Multi-Screen 4K Video Wall located in a central location for your guests to see upon entrance that is able to display any welcome graphic, video, logo, or photos of your choice. This space is perfect for a reception, cocktail hour, guest registration, or a special event such as a baby shower, birthday party, and much more!
A direct drive-in loading area is located on the front left of the event centre allowing for easy access for your equipment and catering to be dropped off and prepared. From the drive-in area, both the lobby and the auditorium may be accessed. Canada Event Centre’s facilities also include modern restrooms that will make your guests feel welcome with hands free sinks, Dyson hand dryers, and several stalls for any sized event. There are two greenrooms and dressing rooms available, as well as several rear and side entrances. Additionally, for those who may need it, CEC is fully wheelchair accessible.
In addition to the grand lobby and 3,000+ seat auditorium, the space can also offer the use of its high-performance athletic facility, Canada Athletic Performance Centre, which includes two FIBA-sized courts, an indoor soccer field, a pickleball court, and an entire gym filled with state-of-the-art equipment from Atlantis and Technogym. This is a perfect venue for those looking to host an event that incorporates a fitness segment of the day or a camp. Canada Event Centre was built by Canada Christian College to be a place where students and people can engage one another through the events that are hosted there.
